the celebrated 27 year old (189 in dog years!) border collie from the UK, add a woman with an exciting vision and what do you get? The PACK.
The lives of Shanti and Bramble had one thing in common: a meat-free diet. Yes, a meat-free diet. Bramble’s highly unusual lifespan and diet were certified through the Guinness World Book of Records, she was 27 years and 211 days old when she passed. So why did Bramble live 2 - 3 times longer than most dogs? No one knows for sure. However, it is shocking to most, she ate only vegetables, lentils and rice. Turns out Bramble was not alone. Another dog blessed with a long life was Tykie from Michigan, who ate a similar diet and he lived to be 25.
Upon the discovery of these amazing dogs (and hundreds of others thriving on a meat-free diet) combined with my experience of my dog, Shanti and her exceptional health after 10 years of thriving meat-free - I was deeply inspired to fulfill a personal and professional vision. A vision I have held, nurtured and walked toward for over 25 years.
