Gord’s middle name is Diversity (well not really, but it could be). With a background in farming, commercial aviation as a pilot, social work, and owner of a food manufacturing company, inventor and business mentor, Gord knows the territory very well.
Further, as an innovative visionary, it’s not hard for Gord to see the potential of a company and then tackle it head on. But it’s no big thing—Gord knows how to work his magic by creating something from nothing. Heck, he’s done it before when he and his brilliant team created TRAK, the media-acclaimed, world’s first adaptable and portable kayak, turning people’s heads while opening the world to limitless possibilities. During this time, they used the LEAN Production System, achieving 1% improvement per week, every week; a system they will be implementing to achieve maximum results for The PACK.
Gord’s financial, staffing, and equipment know-how, coupled with the ability to be an engaging communicator who inspires everyone he meets, are invaluable assets to The PACK. These qualities will consistently take the company to the next level each and every time.
I am Laura Simonson, a woman with a very BIG dream. Over 25 years ago I envisioned the creation of a business that was committed to natural health, animals and our planet and although there have been many detours, the dream is still etched deep in my soul.
Almost 4 years ago I met Gord Espeseth. my 'relentless match'. Gord has also been climbing over huge obstacles his entire personal and professional life to create an extraordinary business that 'stood for something'. He is without a doubt one of the most phenomenal, authentic, compassionate human beings I have ever met and I know dozens of people who feel the same way about Gord.
Now today, with a deep dedication, and after combining our dreams, passions and abilities, along with the love for a Border Collie named Shanti, we are thrilled to be forming The PACK. And we are not alone. Behind the scenes there is an amazing, supportive team of shareholders, specialists, business partners and friends who are cheering us on and working away as we prepare to launch The PACK.
The PACK team to date consists of successful 'possibility' thinkers and gamechangers - people who see what is possible, no matter what the task, challenge or dream. Professionally, Laura has put every juicy veggie morsel of her diverse life into developing a keen sense for 'doing good' through business.
She was the founder of Planet Live it!, a consulting company for business development and marketing for companies leading the way with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Prior to that, she was the founder and creator of Live it!, a lifestyle and fitness consulting company at the forefront of the wellness industry, creating programs for hundreds of people and businesses, both on and off-line, internationally, over 14 years ago.
